Organiser Summary
World Snooker is the commercial arm of the World Professional Billiards & Snooker Association, the governing body of professional snooker.
The World Snooker Championship, currently held at the Crucible Theatre in the English city of Sheffield, is the climax of snooker's annual calendar and the most important snooker event of the year in terms of prestige, prize money and world ranking points. The ranking tournaments of the World Snooker Championship are; UK Championship, Grand Prix, Welsh Open, China Open, Shanghai Masters, masters and Northern Ireland Trophy.
