Luat, Harrison, Walker and Gallego Through to Finals

Thu 11th Jul 2002 12:07pm

Rudolfo Luat of the Phillipines is joining eight of his countrymen in the 2002 World Pool Championship, after beating Canadian Gerry Watson (in his second final of the week) 7 - 3. In the other final, Englishman Phil Harrison beat Marcus Juva of Finland to go through to the finals for the second year running. Last year, he was knocked out by American Troy Frank in the last 64.

In Tuesday's games, young Welshman Lee Walker took the total number of players playing for the host country to five after beating Indonesian Mohammed Junarto in the day's second final. In the other final, Phillipine Ramil Gallego beat Canadian Gerry Watson, and will be hoping to be even more successful than last year when he reached the last 64 before falling to Earl Strickland.
