2002 WPA World Pool Championship - Qualifying Tournaments

The schedule for the qualifying tournaments for the 2002 WPA World Pool Championship have been announced. There are 10 events being played at the Stars & Stripes Club, Bristol, between Saturday 6th July and Thursday 12th July.

Saturday 6th July Event 1 Start: 11.00am
Sunday 7th July Event 2 Start: 9.30am Event 3 Start 2.00pm
Monday 8th July Event 4 Start: 9.30am Event 5 Start 2.00pm
Tuesday 9th July Event 6 Start: 9.30am Event 7 Start 2.00pm
Wednesday 10th July Event 8 Start: 9.30am Event 9 Start 2.00pm
Thursday 11th July Event 10 Start: 10.00am
Thursday 11th July Event 11 The One Rack Shoot Out Start 6.00pm

The entry fee is £35 per event, or £150 for five events. You will only be able to play in one event per day and players registering for five events in advance will be given a schedule for the whole week. This will determine whether you are playing in a morning or an afternoon tournament. Players in Event One may not play in Event 10. Only players who have played in a minimum of three events can participate in the One Rack Shoot Out.

Matches are provisionally races to 7 racks unless the tournament field exceeds 96 players per event. Single elimination format, but you get five chances for £150; winner breaks (lag for opening break); 15 Tables.

All winners gain entry into the 128 player main event which runs at the Cardiff International Arena from 13 – 21 July.
